Superstar Actor: Jeff Payton
There's no doubt that Jeff Payton is going places! He began taking dance classes with Spring Theatre years ago, and has performed in several shows: The Prince & The Pauper, Mulan Jr, Thoroughly Modern Millie Jr, and most recently stole the show as Cosmo in Singing in the Rain Jr. A humble, talented superstar.... we love you, Jeff!

Eva Bey attends Forbush High School. Her first show with Spring Theatre was Little Mermaid Jr, and since that time she has been seen as characters in The Prince and the Pauper, and High School Musical Jr! Cayson is a busy 7th grader at Meadowlark Middle but she always makes time to dance! Cayson takes dance classes at Spring four days per week and has been dancing since the age of 3. When not at school or at Spring, Cayson is usually doing homework, watching TV, or pirouetting around the living room. Cayson just made the Meadowlark Mustangs Cheerleading squad and her background in dance was a big reason why. Besides dance, Cayson plays the guitar, loves to travel and the great outdoors, and can almost ride a unicycle. She has a younger sister named Caleigh, two super-cool parents, a hamster named Cinnamon, and two lovable black lab brothers named Calvin and Hobbes. We love you, Cayson, you are awesome!

Superstar Volunteer: Gina Belmont
Gina Belmont is the newest intern at Spring Theatre.She is twenty-one years old, and is from Winston-Salem. Gina is currently a rising senior at East Carolina University, studying Theatre for Youth. She hopes in the future to work as a counselor for a children’s theatre, or to become a theatre teacher. This is her first time working for Spring Theatre, and she is beyond excited to be an intern. We look forward to a fantastic summer with you, Gina!

A former gymnast and fencer, this vivacious 6th grader came to ballet to enhance her fencing game in 2014. Instead, she retired from both sports in order to pursue ballet full time. With spunk and spirit, Anna has shown determination to improve her technique by being in the studio as often as her parents can get her here. Her Spring debut was in the Winter Showcase of 2014, and she will perform in several numbers in Artist Inspirations in May 2015. Anna’s zest for life is energizing, her dedication admirable, and her future bright. Stay tuned! We love you, Anna, you are awesome!

Sophie is one of our Spring Theatre originals! She started with Spring in our very first elementary school class in 2010 and has been very active ever since. Audiences will recognize Sophie from many Spring Theatre productions, including Annie, Alice in Wonderland, Fables and most recently The Prince & The Pauper. We love you, Sophie, you are awesome!

We want to recognize Grace Manning as our SuperStar Student of the Month. Grace has been a student of Spring Theatre for a while now. She has recently started to focus on her dancing at Spring, and has been growing quickly in her technique. Grace is a sophomore at RJ Reynolds High School. She enjoys swimming competitively, and loves theatre and dance with Spring. Grace also has Voice lessons in Greensboro, and is a part of RJR Theatre and A Cappella. Keep Shining! We love you!

Shortly after starting her course, she expressed interested in becoming an intern during Semester 2 of the 2013-2014 school year. She has been instrumental in helping out administratively in our Spring Admin office. Sage has a great attitude, a pleasant smile, and is always willing to help. Sage currently takes summer dance classes with Spring Dance Studio and is continuing her internship throughout the summer. We love you, Sage! Thanks for all your help!

Since that time, Lila has been a regular on the Spring Theatre stage! She has performed in Starbound the Musical and Guys & Dolls Jr, and has been a member of Spring Theatre's Glee performance group The Top Hats. Lila also takes voice lessons and dance at Spring Theatre. Lila has a smiling face that lights up a room, and a superstar attitude. One of our very favorite people around Spring Theatre is Ms. Lisa! Professionally, Lisa works as a private instructor for Spring Theatre, and prior to that received her Bachelor of Music in vocal performance at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. And when Lisa is not working at Spring, she's volunteering for Spring! So many of our exciting new programs have come forth due to Lisa's hard work and commitment and going above and beyond the call of duty over and over again. We love you, Lisa, and everything you do for Spring Theatre!

Spring Theatre was lucky to have Calleah Solomon as our intern for the month of January, and she quickly became a part of the Spring family! She is a dancer, and currently is a student at Salem College. She has been an incredibly valuable volunteer to Spring Theatre not only in the office, but also assisting with dance classes and Glee rehearsals. Calleah has a dream of opening up a dance studio of her own someday, and we know that dream will come true with her passion, energy and talent! Thank you, Calleah, for all that you do, we love you!

Nelson has spent hundreds of hours building scenery, running sound, promoting the shows and doing whatever has to be done to make each Spring Theatre show the best it can be. Nelson is also on the board of directors for Spring Theatre. When he's not helping out backstage or in the audience of a Spring Theatre show, Nelson is best known as "The World Coach," and offers his talents as an incredible life and business coach. He has since been cast as the Sultan in Disney's Aladdin Jr, and the King of Hearts in Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr (hmmm... all powerful roles, Paul), and also had roles in Willy Wonka Jr, Seussical Jr and Into The Woods Jr. Paul is an incredible singer and performer and warms audiences hearts each and every time he is onstage. Stephen started performing with Spring Theatre when he landed the role of the Head CardsMan in Disney's Alice in Wonderland Jr. He has also been seen in Into The Woods Jr, Disney's Aladdin Jr and most recently played the role of Detective Brannigan in Spring's production of Guys & Dolls Jr. Stephen is an incredible performer - especially when he dances! Paul and Stephen, we love you both so much and look forward to seeing you on the stage more and more!

Superstar Actor: Meredith Brown
Meredith first became involved with Spring Theatre when she started taking private tap dance lessons with Spring Theatre owner Erinn Diaz 2 years ago. Within a year, Meredith entered her first dance competition and won first place! She is a true triple threat. Meredith has been in many Spring Theatre productions, including performing as Alice in Disney's Alice in Wonderland, Mariah in Starbound The Musical and most recently as the hilarious Adelaide in Guys & Dolls Jr. Her personality proves that onstage and off, she's a true shining star!

She has been a big part of Spring Theatre for the past several shows, some of her roles include Violet in Willy Wonka Jr, Young Cosette in Les Miserables School Edition and the Fairy Godmother in Into The Woods Jr. You can see Ashley this month as she plays a sweet missionary named Bertha in Spring Theatre's production of Guys & Dolls Jr at the Hanesbrands Theatre. When she's not onstage, Ashley can be found at Spring taking ballet classes, tap classes, helping backstage or in the office - and always with a BIG smile.

Adria is 12 years old, and first came to Spring Theatre when she starred as Miss Hannagan in the 2012 production of Annie Jr. Since that time, Adria has been featured as Rapunzel in Into the Woods Jr and most recently as Muneera in Aladdin Jr. Adria also sings with the Winston-Salem Youth Chorus and is a rising 7th grader at the Winston-Salem Christian School. She always comes to rehearsal with a smile and is loved very much at Spring Theatre!

He moved to North Carolina years ago with Piedmont Airlines. The "creator of the Executive Director" (Erinn Diaz's dad), Pat has designed the scenery for all of the Spring Theatre productions to date. He's the creator of Rapunzel's tower, Annie's radio, Horton's nest, Willy Wonka's gates and countless other sets. Pat is constantly doing things for Spring Theatre and we couldn't do it without him. Thank you, Pat!

Since that time, Mary has been quite the star at Spring Theatre, playing roles such as Eponine in Les Miserables School Edition, Tweedle Dee AND Tweedle Dum in Alice In Wonderland Jr and Cinderella in Into The Woods Jr. Mary always has a positive attitude and an amazing passion for theatre.
