WELCOME TO THE SPRING THEATRE FAMILY
Founded in 2011, Spring Theatre exists to cultivate people of courage and communities of joy through youth-inspired theatrical experiences. Spring Theatre helps established and aspiring theatre artists reach their full artistic potential through mentoring, main stage productions, theatre camps, workshops, and master classes. As a result, Spring Theatre’s youth are confident community members who are prepared for leadership roles including, but not limited to, performing, writing, directing, and staging their own productions.
The family of Spring Theatre fuels the creative spirit of the entire Triad and beyond.

THANK YOU TO THE CAST OF "I PROMISE"!

Many thanks to the outstanding cast and crew of "I Promise", our 2025 Aspiring Artists production for such a great run! This program at Spring Theatre ran through April 2025, and is for our youngest artists ages 5-10 and give our youngest members of the community a professional and nurturing environment to thrive onstage. 31 young actors took the stage and we are so proud of all of them!

Global Youth Programming Expansion

As more local arts and theatre programs for youth have emerged in Winston-Salem (a wonderful sign of our thriving arts community), Spring Theatre’s leadership recognized a new calling: bringing theatre to communities around the world where such opportunities are scarce or nonexistent.
Spring Theatre’s renowned Performance Camps, which have served thousands of K–12 students since 2011, are now going global. Starting in July 2025, Spring Theatre will launch its first out of state performance camp in Clovis, New Mexico, bringing high-quality theatre training to youth in underserved areas.
In a bold step forward, Spring Theatre will launch its first program in Kenya in 2026. This initiative will include both youth theatre workshops and educator training designed to create sustainable arts programs in small communities.
Select youth participants from the U.S. will also travel to Kenya to assist with programming—creating a powerful cultural exchange that bridges continents through creativity and compassion.
Our goal is to plant long-term theatrical programs in communities with little-to-no existing infrastructure, training local leaders and sparking lifelong skills in communication, creativity, and confidence.
